VCSA Ice-Fishing Tournament

Hard water, big fish, and a whole community out on the ice.

Each February, the VCSA hosts an ice-fishing tournament on Vallecito Lake — the cold season's headline event. Plan the trip with the winter-day itinerary and the winter hub.

This year's date, entry, and rules: to be confirmed. The tournament is held in February; we'll post the exact date, registration, and prize details once the VCSA announces them. Check the events page for updates.

Before you go on the ice

You'll need a Colorado fishing license and a PRID permit (permits). New to hard water? Fisher Guide Service runs guided ice-fishing trips, (970) 769-0669. And the standing rule up here: never trust lake ice without local confirmation — we don't report ice thickness.
