Winterfest is Vallecito's annual winter celebration — a community day at the lake in the cold months. Make a weekend of it with the winter-day itinerary, and see what's open on the Vallecito in Winter hub.
Winter access is straightforward but real: CR 501 is plowed as a Level 1 road but ices early, so bring winter tires and check road status and the forecast. For food and supplies, the Country Market is open year-round.
